Contest Rules and Regulations

Contest starts from 10th June 2020 and ends on 24th June 2020. All entries for The Top 10 Most-LIKED-Post Winners on Facebook and Lucky Draw winner must be submitted by 2359pm on 19th June 2020 (Fri).

To enter and be eligible to win, entrant must reside in Singapore. Only one entry per participant. Participants must consist of one child between the ages of 7 to 14 years old and their father/paternal figure. Additional proof may be requested to verify the winners’ identities. Employees and their parents, siblings or children domiciled with an employee of Writers’ Guild are ineligible to enter.

No purchase is necessary to enter the contest. Making a purchase does not increase your chances of winning the contest.

A participant need to carry out the following steps to enter the contest. Upload these on a Facebook post: (a) A heart-warming paragraph of how special Daddy is (b) A photograph of Daddy and child. Tag us @writersguildsg and also include the hashtag #WGFathers. Get friends and family members to LIKE and comment on the Facebook post. Take a screenshot of the post and submit via a Facebook message to us BY 2359pm on 19th June (Fri).

We will select the Most-Liked-Post Winners based on the screenshots. Ensure that FB account and post is set to PUBLIC. Limited to one post per child. Duplicate posts will be disqualified. Duplicate comments are not counted (Only one comment counted per FB user).

The Top 10 Most-LIKED-Post Winners on Facebook will each win $50 worth of GrabFood vouchers. (The results will be announced on 21st June.) Out of the above winners, the ONE with the most COMMENTS on Facebook will win an ADDITIONAL $100 worth of GrabFood vouchers. (The results will be announced on 24th June.) There will also be 1 Lucky Draw winner that will be picked from all participants of the competition to win $50 worth GrabFood vouchers. (The results will be announced on 24th June.)

Prize must be accepted as rewarded. $50 worth of vouchers will consist of 2 $20 vouchers and 1 $10 voucher. $100 worth of vouchers will consists of 5 $20 vouchers. Vouchers will be sent within 7 days after the winner of the prize has confirmed their names and email addresses. Once the vouchers are emailed to the recipients, Writers’ Guild will not be responsible for prizes sent out. Writers’ Guild will also not be held liable for GrabFood vouchers not used/claimed by their expiration date. No substitutions and/or variations of the prize is accepted except at Writers’ Guild’s sole discretion. The prize is non-transferable or convertible to cash. The company accepts no responsibility for any tax or other liability that may arise from the prize winnings. Prizes are subject to availability and the Company has the right to substitute any prize for a comparable prize of equal or greater value to be awarded in lieu, subject to any applicable law. Results of the contest will be announced on Writers’ Guild’s Facebook Page.

Winners are required to provide their full particulars for the purpose of verification & audit. All prizes which are not won or remain unclaimed after one (1) month of the announcement of the winners will be forfeited.

By entering the Contest, participants agree to be bound by and to comply with the T&Cs. Non-compliance with or breach of any of these T&Cs may disqualify a participant at any stage of the Contest, and any prizes won may be forfeited, withheld, withdrawn or reclaimed. Writers’ Guild reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who is found (i) to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest; (ii) to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or (iii) to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. By entering the Contest, each participant agrees that: any and all personal data may be collected, used and/or disclosed to Writers’ Guild for various purposes, including to communicate with the participant for purposes related to the Contest / Lucky Draw, to provide goods and services to the participant upon request, and such other purposes Writers’ Guild may reasonably deem appropriate, or in relation to which the participant has otherwise provided Writers’ Guild with consent; Writers’ Guild may collect, use, disclose and share amongst themselves and their respective service providers, the participant’s personal data, including the photographs or audio-video or other recordings of these participants (“Material”) for publicity and/or use in advertisements across all media, including, without limitation, in the Writers’ Guild’s publications, presentations, promotional materials on their websites, in its original or edited format, and whether to promote the Contest or otherwise without further notification, remuneration or compensation; and the copyright and all other intellectual property rights in and to all Material shall vest solely and absolutely in Writers’ Guild without further compensation. Photographs, messages and information related to the posts and or entries may be used for future promotion by Writers’ Guild. Entrants must have all rights to the photographs posted.

Participants shall not, without the prior written approval of Writers’ Guild, speak to the press or any other media nor give any interviews or comments relating to the Contest.

Writers’ Guild shall not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), damage, personal injury or death in connection with the Contest, or any prize, except any liability that cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
